A Strategic Financial Plan is an abbreviated version of a Comprehensive Financial Plan. Usually focused around retirement or college, Strategic Financial Plans answer the questions:

  1. How much should I save for retirement or my goals?
  2. Where should I save it?
  3. Can I afford to retirement?

This service is best utilized by two different types of clients. The First is someone who is relatively new to investing and is looking to get a good start without worrying about conflicts of interest inherent with working with a commission based planner.

The Second is someone who knows that their insurance, tax, and estate planning needs are being taken care of by trusted professionals. They strictly want to know :

  1. Are they are on track to retire?
  2. Are they going to run out of money?
  3. Is their current advisor doing a good job?

This service includes:

  1. Goal Setting - Clarifing your goals and objectives.
  2. Goal Analysis - Determine the best uses of your savings towards goals and identify your optimal investment allocation.
  3. Investment Analysis - Compares current and suggested investment return, risk, and expenses with the goal of making my services free (net of fees).

The Process generally involves two meetings and can take a month to complete. The first meeting is to gather the necessary data. The second is to deliver the plan. After delivery of the plan the client has two months to ask questions about the plan.
